Graham is responsible for representing the asphalt and bituminous product industry including stakeholders and Government members of the organisation. Communicating AfPA’s objectives, he promotes the sustainable use and growth of bitumen-based products throughout the flexible pavements industry within his States.

EXPERIENCE

Since earning his Bachelor of Engineering (Civil), Graham has amassed over 38 years of expertise in the civil, asphalt and bituminous products sector. His career encompasses operational leadership, research and development, and international project management, with significant contributions to innovative and sustainable asphalt practices. Graham has overseen the production and installation of asphalt across Australia and abroad, playing key roles in developing new technologies and standards for the sector.

Graham has held several key positions, including Operations Manager for over 10 years, General Manager for more than 16 years, and National Pre-Contracts and Development Manager for 8 years. He is dedicated to the sustainable development of Australia’s asphalt and bituminous products sector, with a particular passion for reducing the carbon footprint of road infrastructure projects through recycling valuable road resources, using alternative binders, optimizing logistics, and implementing preventative maintenance to improve lifespan.

As a well-respected member of the road construction and surfacing sector, Graham is committed to serving and improving the industry after joining the Australian Flexible Pavement Association in November 2024.
