The below Terms & Conditions are applicable to Australian Flexible Pavement Association (AfPA) Events, Training, Workshops & Conferences.
By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions you understand that you are registering to attend an AfPA Event, Workshop, Training or Conference (“Event”) managed by AfPA and all fees associated with your participation at an event. You may register on behalf of others, however you are deemed to be liable for all associated fees for all participants you register. Should you require assistance at any time please do not hesitate to contact the AfPA Head Office via +61 3 8416 4500 prior to finalising your registration.
AfPA: We ask that you please ensure you register for the correct Event. Should you require assistance at any time please do not hesitate to contact AfPA via email admin@afpa.asn.au.
Confirmation:A CONFIRMATION email and invoice will be sent to the email address supplied for each registrant upon completion of registration process. Please ensure this confirmation is checked for accuracy. Where an email is not received after two (2) working business days, contact the AfPA Head Office. The re-issue of an invoice is available on request and will incur an administration fee of $25 (GST excluded)
Payment Terms: Payment for AfPA Events, Workshops & Conferences and any selected addons (such as Sponsorship or Trade Displays) are due on completion of your registration. A CONFIRMATION email and invoice will be emailed to you with confirmation of your registration. All fees are payable prior to commencement of the Event to ensure admission, unless by prior arrangement.
Credit Card Payments: Credit card payments entered during registration will be processed directly by AfPA’s Credit Card Merchant. Your credit card details will not be stored by AfPA.
Registration Cancellation Policy : An administrative fee of $100 (GST included) per registrant will apply for cancellations received 30 days prior to the event. Cancellations after this date but received 15 days prior to the event will be charged $150 (GST included). Cancellations after this date will not be refunded; however, delegates may nominate a substitute in their place. Refunds will not be given for failure to attend, late arrival or early departures. Transfer to another course will be considered on request and will incur an administration fee of $25 (GST excluded) per registrant. Requests for transfer less than seven (7) days before the commencement of the course will not be considered.
Refund Policy: Refunds are not payable if you simply change your mind, however if your circumstances change please contact AfPA immediately via email at admin@afpa.asn.au to amend your registration or associated requirements. If you require a refund, refund requests are responded to and processed in 30 days. Refunds will incur an admin fee. Your purchase for any event, training, etc on our website is deemed to be having accepted this refund policy.
Invoices: Invoices are issued and automatically emailed to the purchaser upon purchase of any event/training on our website. Request to re-issue invoices will be charged an admin fee.
Event Cancellation or Postponement : Should an Event be cancelled or postponed due to unforeseen circumstances, AfPA will endeavor to process a full refund within 30 days of such circumstances becoming known. Refunds will only be processed to the credit card
By attending the presentation/seminar/conference or similar (“Event”), you acknowledge and agree that:
- the Australian Flexible Pavement Association Limited (ACN 000 770 123) (“AfPA”) may:
- make a video or audio recording of your image or voice;
- take a photograph of you; or
- make any digital record of your image or voice,
- relating to the Event and to any other material which you expressly or impliedly provide to AfPA, (“Recording”); AfPA may:
- in relation to the Recording, use your name or any other personal reference;
- make a transcript of the Recording (“Transcript”); and
- in its discretion use, copy, make available, publish, distribute, transmit, perform, display, edit or modify (“Utilise”) the Recording and the Transcript anywhere in the world, but only for the purposes of education, training and research activities, any promotion and marketing, reporting and journalism, and knowledge transfer (“Permitted Purposes”);
- you are not entitled to any royalties, fees or other compensation in return for any Utilisation of the Recording or Transcript permitted;
- AfPA may enter into agreements with third parties for the distribution of content such as Recordings and Transcripts. You agree that third parties may Utilise the Recording and Transcript for the Permitted Purposes; and
- the works presented at the Event are copyright. Apart from any use permitted under the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth), no part of the works may be reproduced by any purpose without the written permission from AfPA. Requests and enquiries concerning reproduction rights should be directed to AfPA, details as follows:

Training Certificates: The re-issue of course certificates will be considered on request and will incur an administration fee of $5 (GST included).
Disclaimer of Liability: AfPA reserves the right to amend fees or any part of the conference program or event, should it be necessary. AfPA will not accept liability, for damages of any nature sustained by participants or their accompanying persons, for loss or damages of their personal property, as a result of the conference or related event.
