Mark ensures the delivery and communication of AfPA’s objectives and effectively represents the interests of all members, stakeholders and government agencies through promoting the sustainable use and growth of bitumen-based products in pavement infrastructure projects, rehabilitation and maintenance within his States.

EXPERIENCE

Mark brings over 20 years of leadership experience across government, not-for-profit and commercial sectors and he commenced with AfPA in 2021.

He started his technical career with tier one firms working across multiple disciplines of engineering, environment, planning and economics on major transport and infrastructure projects in Australia and Canada. Mark has deep government experience having held executive roles in regional councils in NSW and Queensland with an impressive track record of hands-on experience in capital and maintenance delivery of roads, bridges and a variety of other infrastructure works.

He also brings to AfPA a deep experience in stakeholder engagement and in developing collaborative relationships with all levels of government and the private sector. Mark has a strong appreciation of the role that advocacy plays in influencing the development of funding programs, policy, regulation and legislation. His experience includes strategic advice on roads, transport, infrastructure, asset management, disaster management, policy assessment and delivering membership services across Queensland.
