Australian Flexible Pavement Association (AfPA) recognises the positive benefits an inclusive workforce plays on all aspects of our lives – attracting the best talent drives innovation, productivity and best practice outcomes. Workplace diversity and inclusion is not automatic, and there is no quick fix. It requires proactive leadership, accountable commitments, cultural change, and measurable outcomes-based initiatives that promote and support an equitable workforce.

AfPA is proud to bring our industry together and host a national knowledge exchange workshop. This is an event that will bring our industry together to develop Australia’s Flexible Pavement Industry Diversity and Inclusion Roadmap.

This Roadmap will outline strategies and actions to help move towards a balanced workforce across the flexible pavement industry. The Roadmap is intended to ensure all stakeholders from across the industry are aware and supported to improve their outreach, recruitment, training, and retention of a diverse workforce.

The Event will be held in three major capital cities across Australia on 22 June 2022 – AfPA invites everyone working in all aspects of the industry to have their voices heard, to lead together and inform the Roadmap for a more inclusive workforce.
