Peter ensures the delivery and communication of AfPA’s objectives effectively represent the interests of all members and promote the sustainable use and growth of bitumen-based products in pavement construction and maintenance throughout his regions.
Considered a national and international expert in emerging transport technologies, road and transport innovation, traffic management and road safety, and in the planning and design of transport infrastructure and facilities.
Over 30 years of Civil Engineering industry experience within both government and the private sector, he has been involved in some of Australia’s largest building and infrastructure projects and has an industry network that extends across the globe.
Peter has chaired or participated in numerous industry associations, accreditation panels, and learned societies including being the International Vice President of the Road Engineering Association of Asia and Australasia, Chairman of the Australian Driverless Vehicle Initiative, an Executive Committee member of the Global Road Safety Partnership, a member of the Engineers Australia National Committee on Transport and Roads, previously the Chief Operating Officer of the Australian Road Research Board and Chairman of the Board of Innovate Australia. Peter commenced with AfPA in 2018.
